Hippo CMMS is a leading maintenance management software vendor based in Winnipeg, MB. They work with a multitude of different industries to help them run their facilities more efficiently, and reduce costs both on labor and resources. Since they are a tech company, their long term goal is to rely heavily on Google organic search traffic to help them grow.

When we started with Hippo CMMS in late 2015, they had recently rebranded, moved to a new website and had lost most, if not all of their organic traffic coming to their site from Google as a result of the site migration. We were tasked to regain their initial organic traffic and also increase their traffic for other related search terms for which they hadn’t yet ranked.

THE OBJECTIVE

Regain the initial organic traffic to the company’s website. Increase the web traffic for Hippo CMMS on new and updated keywords.

THE SOLUTION

Complete a full website audit involving of hundreds of pages. Properly optimize each page on the website and structure them to hit the sweet spot of Google’s search algorithm. Ensure that the Domain Authority from the previous website transfers over to the new website. Build the new domain’s authority and trust to increase relevancy and rank in web searches. Outreach to popular industry blogs and publications for guest post placement and strong backlinks to Hippo’s website.

THE RESULTS

  • Ranking for 68 different keywords in the top 3 positions for their respective Google searches
  • Ranking for nearly 200 different keywords on page 1 for their respective Google searches
  • The number of monthly visitors to the website from organic searches has doubled to approximately 4,000
